About This Tool

Add Attachments allows you to embed any type of file directly into your PDF document. This transforms a standard PDF into a comprehensive package or "portfolio" that can carry related documents, spreadsheets, images, or audio files.

Recipients can view the PDF as usual and access the attached files through the attachments panel in their PDF viewer. This is an excellent way to keep related files together without zipping them.

All processing happens locally in your browser. Your main document and the files you attach are merged securely on your device.

How to Use

  1. Upload Your PDF

Drag and drop the main PDF file that will serve as the container.

  2. Select Attachments

Upload the files you want to attach (e.g., Word docs, Excel sheets, Images). You can add descriptions for each.

  3. Attach and Download

Click Attach to embed the files into the PDF and download the updated document.

Frequently Asked Questions

What file types can I attach?

You can attach distinct file types including DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, JPG, PNG, MP3, and even other PDFs.

How do I view attachments?

Most PDF viewers (like Adobe Acrobat) have a "Paperclip" icon or "Attachments" pane where you can see and open embedded files.

Does this increase file size?

Yes, the file size will increase by roughly the size of the attachments you add.

Is this the same as merging?

No. Merging combines pages visually. Attaching embeds the file "inside" the PDF, like an email attachment, without changing the visible pages.
